Trader Bob's Receives First Dollar

Just a short walk from the Manistique Lakeshore Campground at Trader’s Point, residents and visitors will find Trader Bob’s, a new gift shop that puts a fresh spin on lake life.

Trader Bob’s is owned and operated by sisters Kathy Skok and Debbie Hase and opened Memorial Day weekend last year. This new shop has nautical home decor, Manistique apparel, U.P.-made food items, and much more. Having a local focus and established vendor relationships, they are able to provide unique, custom products, and the best for their shop and customers.

Skok and Hase are also owners of Treasure City, the largest gift shop in the Upper Peninsula, located just east of Manistique on U.S. Highway 2. With over 35 years of experience working alongside their parents, Bob and Betty Knoph, and after many requests for opening a second location closer to town, Trader Bob’s was named in memory of their father. The sisters say his incredible work ethic has rubbed off on them as they are now running two stores.

Be sure to stop by their new location on the water and grab some ice cream while there.

Trader Bob’s summer hours are seven days a week from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Stay up to date with new products and fall hours by following them on Facebook.
