Bear Creek Lodge has new owners – Jared Tetzner and Amy Jo Tetzner. Located in the historic Blaney Park area the duo renovated three cabins on the main stretch of M-77.
These cabins sit on 10 acres of land with the Blaney Park Water Tower, which previously supplied the town with water. The couple work as a realtor and mortgage lender and primarily reside in Green Bay. They stumbled upon the Blaney Park history and cabins on their honeymoon and fell in love.
Over the span of two years since buying the resort, they have completely updated and redecorated all three cabins and have been successful in bringing families here from all over the world to vacation in Schoolcraft County.
Each cabin features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, two living rooms, kitchen and outdoor fire pit, picnic table, and gas grill. The Tetzner’s spent the first years of their marriage trailering all supplies and furnishings from Green Bay with their kids to rehab the property. Recently, Amy Jo’s parents moved to Curtis from Mesquite, Nev. to also join in the relaxation and beauty of the U.P.
The Boone family in Germfask handles the cleaning and yard maintenance at Bear creek. Find Bear Creek Lodge on Facebook or visit them online at bearcreekatblaneypark.com
