Sink or Swim receives ‘first dollar’

Brand new to Manistique is an Upper Peninsula inspired t-shirt and gift shop.

Owner Travis Glowney moved Sink or Swim from East Jordan Michigan to Manistique in July of 2020.

“Just the amount of potential this town has as well as how welcoming and nice the people are is what makes me confident in this community and my store,” said Glowney.

Glowney originally opened his store in 2017 and after a few years of low tourism and increasing rent he had to find a new location. Schoolcraft Tourism and Commerce officials say they are equally happy that Manistique was his choice for a fresh start

Sink or Swim features t-shirts, hoodies, hats, bracelets, and plenty more that have all been inspired by the state of Michigan.
